Smash 4 Replays on YouTube

All right, the video I uploaded is indeed pretty crappy. This guy on For Glory was pretty bad. What I should've done was saved this replay of this awesome match against a Mario player (yo Ace if you're out there reading this blog for some reason, you are the man!) because that match was epic, but it was three minutes and eight seconds and I unfortunately forgot that it doesn't seem like the limit on how long your replays can be is exactly always three minutes on the dot. Somebody I know, at least, was able to upload a replay at three minutes and twelve seconds, so who knows.

So yeah, this replay sucks. But that up-b ko that I got was pretty rad. And the rage quit was pretty funny. So here it goes. I wouldn't call these highlights, though... oh wait a minute, my tag for these is simply SM4SH. Ok never mind, I can organize these neatly then. Hopefully there will be better replays to come, or I just get a capture device real soon so that I can actually upload this stuff in 1080p full FPS and without a time limit. I don't get how Nintendo manages to mess up doing the right thing, but whatever.

Smash 4 Highlight of the Day Is On Hiatus

I just tried to upload a new gyf, but for some stupid reason Gfycat keeps turning all of my videos upside-down. To make matters worse, the quality of video on my phone is getting constantly worse for some reason; I'm under the impression that my phone's camera is breaking. Hopefully I can get a new phone and soon, but until then (and until I can figure out what the fuck is wrong with Gfycat after that), no new highlights. I'm sorry!

I have a small announcement to make as well regarding this. Take of it what you will, though, because I doubt that any of this will either happen or take off as a big thing. Tonight, my friends and I were talking about getting a setup together to start streaming/making videos out of our times that we get together and play video games. I'd love to do that, but considering how expensive the equipment is, I don't know how we'll ever do this. I might end up getting a streaming device, as I did get a Wii U on Christmas, against all of my insistence that I shouldn't, and I still turned out okay, so maybe I can afford a streaming device for my Wii U. Even then, it's going to be hard to do this stuff because my computer isn't built for this crap.

We'll see where and how this goes. Again, I would love to be a part of all that awesomeness, but it just seems really difficult to get a good start with the right equipment. Time will tell.

Smash 4 Highlight of the Day

Yeah, this was free, and it wasn't exactly a hard read or anything. Still, I was glad I got to pull off what I think is a combo; it isn't exactly easy to break out of. Also, this is a combo I completely made up, which as you can see is capable of KO'ing at incredibly low percents. Very effective but only viable if you can land that stun at just the right distance, and at just the right percent. Otherwise, if your distance is bad, you may either whiff on the nair or hit but will be unable to properly follow up with the grab after the down smash. Sometimes it's better to just grab right after the nair, but the down smash gives the damage that can make the succession of uairs into up b work. If you don't get the KO, but manage to pull follow up after the down smash, it's still a great way to create a pretty nasty conversion, or put you even further ahead of your opponent.

Again, only viable after a fully-charged stun blast. If you're a ZSS main drooling at the sight of this, do not attempt to do this just straight off of the nair (in other words, do not approach with nair). Your opponent will probably grab you.

Edit: This is in fact a true combo if you can frame-cancel the nair.

Edit 2: Probably goes without saying, but this is harder to pull off on lighter characters. I think it's actually impossible against Jigglypuff, and vaguely possible on Kirby. I haven't experimented much with Rosalina.

Edit 3: Well, aside from the down throw into double uair into up b. That's an obvious staple. But I did come up with sequencing it from nair after pondering whether it was viable to follow up with down smash after nair, and I quickly figured out that this can actually KO.

Smash 4 Highlight of the Day

Generally I try to play it safe when it comes to edgeguarding, due to the 3DS being notorious for its controls. Well to be fair, the 3DS controls aren't really bad, but the problem with them is that the circle-pad lacks the notches the GameCube controller had to prevent fuck-ups like accidentally fast-falling to my death. However, for the first time on Smash 4 3DS, I took the risk and man did it pay off!

Also, slightly unrelated, somebody brought the Wii U version to school and it was amazing. I am so excited to own it myself.

Smash 4 Highlight of the Day?

I kicked a lot of ass in Smash 4 today, but I won't be sharing gifs today. Instead, enjoy a couple of screens I thought were great!

If it's two things I love most in this game, it's Zero Suit Samus and the cats.

JonTron watches the fight! Did I just Self-Destruct? "Eccchhhh" Also his hair is brown, I need to fix that (downloaded the Mii)

My Smash Highlight Was Featured in a Compilation!

I'm famous!

SMASH 4 HIGHLIGHT OF THE YEAR

I posted this on Reddit just now, and I'm expecting them to tear this whole video a new one. Oh well, whatever, this is staying here in a theoretical golden frame because I completely lost it when I did this.

Two things I'm willing to give, though: 1) This guy's Kirby was a little WTF (what is he hoping to hit with that side-b?) and 2) I'm never entirely proud of a down-b auto-spike from the stage unless if it was super clutch.

Smash 4 Highlight of the Day

This was one clutch-ass kick... too bad nothing cool ever happens on my last stock though.

Smash 4 Highlight of the Day

Yeah, this is no longer a daily thing, but more of a "whenever I feel like uploading something" thing. That's what I mean by "of the Day" from now on. But moving on from that, look how amazing this is!

Okay so I still had a stock to spare and it's not like Captain Falcon-level amazing, but I was amazed with myself for being able to do this. Makes me proud that I can legitimately call Zero Suit Samus my main :'D

Also in other news, I've really been getting back into Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Remember when I posted stuff about my "days" in Animal Crossing (by stuff I mean quite possibly literally two posts)? Well I may start doing something like that again, although not to as great an extent because I'm not up for writing entire essays since most of my days in that game aren't all that tremendously eventful. And as with this game, that "feature" won't be a daily thing either. We'll see where this goes.

Smash 4 Highlight of the Day

Well, welcome to my first Highlight of the Day with Smash 4! I said last time I wouldn't do this until later, because I don't have enough to go by every day. However, this just happened and I couldn't refrain from posting it immediately, so here you go! I call it, Farewell, Jigglypuff.
